Strong candidates will have research experience, preferably in areas of nutrition or physical activity, and strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.Required License/Registration/Certification:
Sitting for up to 4 hours a day, working at computer for long period of time, working remotely, occasional overnight travel, driving to various locations within a 200-mile radius of University of Kentucky main campus.Shift:
Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with occasional weekends and evenings to meet needs of project. May require occasional overnight travel.Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities of this position will be data collection for a sponsored research project.
Specific responsibilities will include:
·Training and passing certification on all recruitment and data collection protocols
·Assisting in recruitment of child care centers, providers, and parents into the research study
·Organizing and packing of all assessment supplies
·Spending full days observing the child care setting in centers across Kentucky
·Travel to and from centers, including over night trips
·Updating the research team daily with participant feedback, response rates, and any problems/issues in the field
·Ensuring high-quality data collection including accuracy and consistency
Time management, organization, problem solving, communication, judgement, attention to detail, customer serviceDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
Experience in data collection and working with children age 2-4 years old and adults in child care is highly desired. Preferred education is a B.S. in nutrition, exercise physiology, public health, psychology, health education, behavioral science, or a related social science.Deadline to Apply:
