Responsibilities The resonsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform yearly audits of all IT related equipment, presenting findings to IT Senior Leadership including proposing changes to policies and processes;
  • Reconcile IT Systems of Record to Finance Fixed Asset System, collabortaing with Finance to resolve issues;
  • Develop and continuously improve IT asset management process improvements and operational efficencies;
  • Track key reporting metrics to ensure adherence to effective asset managament policies, procedures and principles depertmental-wide;
  • Manage team of Asset Management Specialists to ensure asset tracking is maintained. Provide guidance in the day-to-day operations of identifying assets, tagging assets and documenting any change of locations. Oversee team development to enable success in their roles, building core technical skills as well as business knowledge, leadership, communication, and customer service skills;
  • Develop and take ownership of IT Asset Management Catalog Process and storage areas;
  • Maintain documentation and accurate usage of the asset tracking system ensuring internal processes, procedures, tools and infrastructure are documented, maintained with accuracy, and adhere to in day-to-day operations;
  • Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.
Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of IT Operations, as the Senior IT Asset Management Specialist, you will independently provide leadership for operations that involves the daily management and control of the physical IT assets. The incumbent will work closely with the business operations team for the procurement of IT equipment and with AU and AUHS purchasing departments for receiving IT equipment. Other duties include, working with vendors and management of equipment recalls and/or trade-ins. The work performed by the position plays a critical role in performing audits and remediation efforts and investigates/resolves discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
