Major Gifts Officer

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the position of Major Gifts Officer in the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation (CAF) department. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position serves as a primary major gift development officer for the CAF.

Duties include, but are not limited to: plan and coordinate with Executive Director fund-raising initiatives with special focus on major gifts, capital campaigns and scholarships; build and manage a portfolio of 150 or more major gift donors and prospects for Athletics; develop and implement plans to identify, cultivate, solicit and provide appropriate stewardship for major gift donors; plan and coordinate when applicable the involvement of the President, Director of Athletics, other senior staff, coaches and volunteers in development activities; assist in the development of campaign literature and materials; assist in the planning and implementation of Chanticleer Athletic Foundation special events, including game-day hospitality; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum five (5) years proven success record in fund-raising or outside sales are required. Preferred candidate will have collegiate athletic fundraising experience.
