Position Description:
Under the general direction of the Chair, and Management Services Officer (MSO) of the Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance, serve as the undergraduate and graduate advisor providing a broad range of student services to the World Arts and Cultures/Dance students and applicants.

The areas of service include coordinate, plan, develop, implement, and modify policies for effective operations of counseling services for the undergraduate and graduate programs. Major duties include creating and maintaining online systems and databases to manage student affairs and advisement, alumni information, scholarship and financial aid distribution, course scheduling information, all enrollment data and other information as requested by undergraduate and graduate students, the Department Chair and Vice Chair, Dean's Office and faculty committees.

Responsible for supervising information distribution and student interface in advising undergraduates and graduates on policies, procedures and degree requirements; assessment, communication and recording of academic progress; compiling pertinent data to make recommendations to Chairs on course offerings and course assignments, and to faculty regarding student progress.

Responsible for supervising the admissions process for undergraduate degree programs. Act as liaison with Admissions Division. Develop statistical analysis of information.

Employee is also responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and student-oriented assistance to graduate students, serving as a backup to the graduate advisor on a needed basis.
