The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Admin Assistant II position.

Job Description:

The Department of Surgery is committed to making a positive contribution to every person's life. The Administrative Assistant II will provide support for the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Chair, 4-6 clinical faculty, and the division manager. 

Specific job duties include (but are not limited to):

    General office support including ordering supplies, calendar management, mail, etcAnswer incoming calls and triage appropriatelyMaintaining phone lists and staff information Process financial transactions via various methods and systems to include the UCD & CU Medicine procurement cards; accounts payable processing via CU Marketplace and CU Medicine; CU Medicine Medical Legal Billing and reconciliation of travel expenses for facultyMonitor and submit UCH, Denver Health, CU Medicine, Children’s Hospital Colorado & VA credentialing for Plastic Surgery facultyMonitor and apply for updates of Colorado Medical, DEA, BLS, and ATLS licensuresAssist in the recruitment coordination for Plastic Surgery positionsAssemble dossiers for promotion, tenure review, mid-term reviews and visiting to full-time statusMeeting/event coordination including room scheduling, invitations, and food/beveragePreparing meeting agendas and drafting minutes

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or the hiring range) for this position has been established at $34,752- $38,424 and is commensurate with skills and experience.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in an administrative support position. College, university or non-correspondence business school course work may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the general experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

    High level experience, knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Previous higher education and/or medical setting experience
  • Knowledge of expense reporting software. 
  • Familiarity with CU MEDICINE and UCD-SOM policies and procedures
