The Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Clinical Services Coordinator position.

Position Emphasis/Nature of Work:

The Clinical Services Coordinator position provides professional administrative services to faculty and students as well as to the Clinical Coordinator. Tasks include obtaining, analyzing, processing and disseminating required clinical documentation, clinical assessment and evaluation processes and tracking systems associated with Program accreditation and clinical experiences for 132 CHA/PA students yearly.

Specific Duties:  

    Manage the affiliation agreements and overall legal process, analyze agreement documents, resolve potential disagreements on required documentation, and provide final agreed upon documentation, in collaboration with CU’s legal department and administration.Ensure compliance with all clinical evaluation and assessment processes for both preceptors and students. Coordinate with clinic and hospital administrative personnel providing time sensitive and critical student rotation documentation for onboarding, student badging, and EMR.Answer student questions via phone, e-mail or in person, and provide support consistent with appropriate guidelines regarding department and clinical information.Manage input of student documentation to external, proprietary onboarding platforms (e.g. myClinicalExchange, Clinician Nexus) as required by various hospital systems Obtain, analyze and disseminate documentation for all rotations, including privileges, legal affiliation agreements, preceptor information, and immunizations to both students and preceptors.Develop, utilize and maintain file management system and databases for tracking accreditation data, affiliation agreements, teaching agreements, student clinical requirements, assessments and evaluations and all other necessary clinical documentation.Communicate with preceptors (MD, DO, PA, NP) to obtain signed paperwork as needed for respective student rotation placementExecute the processes associated with tracking clinical rotations in a software system and release clinical information to students.  Ensure accuracy in clinical rotation placements and consistently monitor and update the clinical rotation scheduling as needed.Coordinate required trainings for students and rural housing for appropriate clinical rotations.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $36,605 - $46,561.  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

    A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Substitution: A combination of education and related professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis, but not for the specific experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

    One (1) years of full-time administrative experience.
    Experience providing administrative support in an academic, healthcare or academic healthcare environment.Experience working with a student population.Experience working with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues as well as contacts in various clinical settings.Strong organization and analytical skills including attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.Outstanding customer service skills.Self-starter, reliable and a strong work ethic. Ability to be effective and proactive in solving problems both independently and as a team, utilizing conflict mediation skills.Ability to exercise attention to detail and design safeguards to prevent errors.
