Instructor of Vocational Nursing

Job description

Pay for this position is based on a 12 month contract.

The Instructor of Vocational Nursing is responsible for formal classroom instruction, demonstration and supervision of vocational nursing skills, and supervision of nursing care administered by the students during their clinical experiences. This position participates in student selection and recruitment and in program evaluation and revision. This position is responsible for maintaining records for assigned courses and counsels students.
Requirements:This position requires the candidate to have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and a current Registered Nurse license with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Three years of varied nursing experience is also required. This position requires the candidate to be qualified through academic preparation and/or clinical experience to teach curriculum assignments. This position requires the ability to travel independently to and from multiple worksites during day and evening hours and the ability to communicate effectively in a teaching environment with both groups and individuals. A criminal background check is also required.
