Program Development Manager
Summary of position:
The Program Development Manager is responsible for collaborating with colleagues around the world to design and develop academic programs that meet the needs of the Study Abroad Foundation's sending university partners and students in Asia. The Program Development Manager will ensure that programs meet appropriate academic, co-curricular, and student support standards. This position is responsible for driving the program development and proposal process from start to finish, including program budgeting, negotiating with internal and external constituents, finalizing contracts, preparing program information, and facilitating the student enrollment as needed.
Experience & Qualifications/Skills:
At least 5 years' related experience, preferably working with faculty and/or administrators in program development/management of study abroad related to recruiting/customer relations, etc.
Successful track record in recruitment, client management, or study abroad programing in which goals were consistently met and/or exceeded.
Experience and demonstrated understanding of the complexities and preferences of the Chinese outbound study abroad environment.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment and to present suitable solutions to new challenges.
High tolerance of ambiguity and ability to change course as needed.
Demonstrated consistency in meeting pressing deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ease in interacting with various constituents across cultures.
Strong communications skills with ability to cooperate with all stakeholders.

Experience working with and understanding of Chinese culture, particularly as pertains to universities and college students.
High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred.
Education Licenses and/or Certifications etc.:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Must have valid US Driver's license and ability and willingness to drive as required.
