Responsible for providing basic animal husbandry for horses, cows, pigs, sheep, llamas, etc. that may enter the Veterinary Health Center Large Animal Clinic. Must ensure all pens, stalls, treatment areas and connecting corridors are adequately cleaned and disinfected so that biosecurity integrity can be maintained. Rail work, catches, and hinges on all pens, stalls and treatment areas must be cleaned and maintained continuously.Salary
Salary: $10.19 - $15.81 per hour

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read and write.
- One to two years of experience with caring for horses and/or livestock.
- Ability on a daily basis to:
- Lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Grasp handles of shovels for scooping.
- Climb on railings.
- Grasp brooms and mops for cleaning.
- Observe animal behavior.
- Work around dust, chemicals, animal waste and water.
Excellent communication skills and experience handling and working around animals of heavy weight and large stature. Some heavy lifting and periodic use of forklifts, trucks and other equipment.Benefit Eligibility
