Minimum Qualifications:

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior work experience in a position that involved frequent communication on the phone (e.g., call center, phone banking) strongly preferred;
Knowledge of web-based survey software (e.g. Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, etc.) preferred;
Prior experience in social science research preferred;
Experience working with large databases preferred;
Interest in drug policy research preferred.

Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to engage eligible participants in a research study on the impact of marijuana legalization on the substance use disorder treatment industry.

Specific responsibilities include creating surveys using Qualtrics, maintaining the database of research participants, and scheduling and conducting interviews with treatment center directors. The position does not require any travel. Research assistants are expected to work 19.6 hours/week.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong organizational skills;
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheets for analysis and reporting;
Data entry and typing skills;
Phone skills;
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
