Description
The Temple University Infant and Child Laboratory (TICL) at Ambler is seeking a lab coordinator, a position presenting rich and varied opportunities to participate in cutting-edge research in cognition and development. This lab coordinator would work with Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek on projects involving spatial learning, language acquisition, play, and the arts. The position also supports the work of Playful Learning Landscapes. Playful Learning Landscapes is an initiative to promote playful learning opportunities and interactions between children and caregivers. The lab coordinator’s role is to support the evaluation and development of various Playful Learning Landscapes projects. The position is grant-funded for one year, starting July 2021. Perfoms other duties as assigned. 

Required Education & Experience:
B.A. or B.S. in Psychology, Neuroscience, Education, or a related field. At least 6 months experience working in a lab and/or community-based research setting, preferably with infants and/or children. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Experience working with families or children 

*Excellent interpersonal, leadership, writing, and organizational skills    

*Ability to interact with a diverse population of participants

*Ability to travel to off-site locations that may not be accessible by public transportation. 

Preferred:

*Bilingual English/Spanish 

*Computer skills and proficiency with MS Office

*Proficiency with SPSS, SAS, and/or R

This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.
This is a grant funded position.
