Reporting to the Director of Tuttleman Counseling Services the Senior Psychologist/Coordinator of Eating and Body Image Concerns is a licensed psychologist who provides individual, group, and couples counseling and family consultation as needed to Temple students with a concentration in Eating Disorders treatment and referral, as well as supervision to staff and trainees. The Senior Psychologist/Coordinator contributes to a positive university experience for every student and is accountable to all of the Division of Student Affairs (DoSA) Values. The DoSA values are Excellence, Inclusion, Innovation, Integrity, and Respect. As part of the initial assessment process, this position assesses the level of urgency present with students who register for services at the Counseling Center, makes referrals for psychiatric evaluation, and refers to other resources on and off campus.  The Senior Psychologist/Coordinator of Eating and Body Image Concerns provides supervision to trainees and didactic seminars as part of the counseling center's training program, and crisis intervention services; including participation in an urgent care rotation with other clinicians and critical incident stress management interventions. This position provides education to Temple Counseling Services staff as well as to trainees in areas of expertise and serves as a resource to the division of student affairs and the university. The Senior Psychologist/Coordinator of Eating and Body Image Concerns assists in prevention efforts, committees, and outreach initiatives that advance the mission of the department and the division of student affairs. In addition, the Senior Psychologist/Coordinator of Eating and Body Image Concerns provides an orientation to the counseling center for incoming students, and consultation for students, parents, and various offices throughout the university.  Performs other duties as assigned.

This position works one evening per week (Tuesday or Wednesday) and occasional Saturday morning hours in fall and spring semester. 

Required Education and Experience:
A Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology and licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a psychologist and at least three years of directly related experience. Demonstrated experience in handling crisis situations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Strong clinical skills.
*Demonstrated ability to provide group, individual, couples, and family counseling.
*Ability to provide consultation to TCS staff, TCS trainees, administration, faculty, staff, students, and families regarding mental health issues.
*Ability to participate as a member of one of the department’s two Critical Incident Stress management teams to provide debriefing and other interventions for traumatized community members.
*Ability to provide supervision to trainees.
*Ability to provide training in areas of expertise for the department’s didactic seminar for doctoral interns, and other forums.
*Ability to assist in the hiring of new staff and the selection of trainees.
*Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
*Ability to participate as part of a counselor-on-duty rotation one day per week providing assessments and consultation to students, staff, and trainees.
*Ability to assist in the orientation of new and transfer students and their parents to Temple University and to counseling center services.
*Ability to manage multiple collaborative projects and systems in a fast-paced environment.
*Established commitment to multicultural competencies.
*Ability to facilitate training on eating concerns and body image for staff and trainees.

Preferred:
*Competence in the treatment of eating disorders, in a college counseling center setting.
*Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and sensitivity to cross-cultural issues, with a supportive approach to colleagues.
*Experience providing counseling and supervision post-licensure.
*Experience working in a college counseling center and/or with young adults.
*Experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy and group counseling.
*Understanding of the objectives of higher education. 
*Experience utilizing a time-limited model of care.
