The Institute for Genome Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting an Assistant Professor, Non-Tenure Track. The field of Microbiome research is evolving rapidly as a data driven field that requires the development and application of innovative bioinformatic and statistical approaches. Individuals with an academic track record in the area of Microbiome research are strongly encouraged to apply. A position for Assistant Professor, Non-Tenure Track is available and preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated track record of publications, current grant funding and a research program that will complement ongoing projects with the Institute for Genome Sciences and the School of Medicine.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in computational biology, biostatistics, computer sciences, genetics, microbiology or a related field, with relevant postdoctoral experience and a strong record of academic achievement as determined by publications and grant funding. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to ongoing research projects, as well as develop their own research program over time, and additionally will provide supervision to staff and fellows within the laboratory. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor, Non-Tenure Track.
