The experimental high energy physics group at the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position working on the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The group is actively involved in searches for physics beyond the Standard Model focusing on long-lived and exotic particles, rare Higgs decays, and silicon tracking for the High-Luminosity upgrade of the CMS detector.

The successful applicant will make significant contributions to the tracker electronics chain for the HL-LHC CMS upgrade, and will play a leading role in data analysis, working primarily with Prof. Lawrence Lee, particularly in searches for physics beyond the standard model. They will also have the opportunity to work with graduate and undergraduate students. Applicants should have a strong record of accomplishments in data analysis, and interest or experience in detector electronics. Ideally, the position would begin in the Fall of 2021.

Required Education: PhD. in related field.
