Job Summary Provide professional level support of talent acquisition functions within a unit. Includes initiating and processing recruiting and hiring documentation, serving as an information resource on recruiting and hiring related processes, and participating in new employee in-processing activities. This position will interact on a regular basis with: unit management, unit staff, and applicants. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit management, unit staff, and applicants. The Student Recruiting Coordinator provides support for talent acquisition, onboarding, and related functions for student employment and other temporary employment programs for university and high school students at the Georgia Tech Research Institute.
Job Duty 1 -
Generate, process, and/or verify employment related documentation including offer letters, hiring packages, schedules, and reports.
Job Duty 2 -
Coordinate and deliver activities associated with employee on-boarding and orientation.
Job Duty 3 -
Assist with review and coordination of employment requisitions including review and posting to applicant tracking system and other sourcing channels.
Job Duty 4 -
Respond to inquiries regarding hiring and employment policies and procedures, making referrals when appropriate.
Job Duty 5 -
Assist with recruitment efforts and candidate selection process.
Job Duty 6 -
Gather and coordinate dissemination of information regarding new or revised hiring related policies and procedures within the unit. Develop and maintain knowledge of recruiting and hiring operations, processes, and procedures.
Job Duty 7 -
Participate in ad hoc administrative related data gathering, report input, etc.
Job Duty 8 -
Process employee record maintenance and transactions including salary, job, termination, and other related changes.
Job Duty 9 -
May coordinate group or unit purchases of supplies and materials.
Job Duty 10 -
Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Position requires a high level of emotional intelligence and relationship building skills, along with the ability to make sales and to assist clients in understanding how working with our staff can help them perform significantly better and achieve their goals.
Two to three years of job related experience
Preferred Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor' Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience working in Human Resources
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems
This job requires the ability to be customer service focused and detail-oriented, excellent communication skills with diverse populations in a multi-format setting, ability to multi-task with multiple deadlines, and basic knowledge of office related computer applications.
This is not a supervisory position.
This position does have financial responsibilities.

This role is considered a position of trust.
This position does require a purchasing card (P-Card).
This position will not travel
