The Program Manager-VPUE position in the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) provides administrative and strategic project support to the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (AVPUE). The position proactively and strategically manages assigned high-level and division-wide initiatives and projects.Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multiple initiatives, committees, programs and projects as assigned by the AVPUE
- Provide executive administrative support, to include scheduling, travel arrangements, file maintenance, document coordination,committee support, special projects/programs, and procurement activities for the AVPUE
- Collect, review and analyze data for reports, presentations and correspondence; Create presentations or documentation; Maintain data on programs or initiatives; and prepare summaries, as necessary
- Coordinate meetings, special events, external visits, and related functions, as needed; May represent the AVPUE as needed.
- Assist with OVPUE office operations as back-up as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Five Years of job-related experiencePreferred Qualifications
Seven Years of job-related experience
Project Management Certification
Prior experience providing executive-level administrative support in a higher education environment for a Dean, Vice Provost, Vice President or higher level/comparable position is required. Advanced skills with executive scheduling and calendar management using Microsoft Outlook (or comparable tool); Ability to use BlueJeans, MS Teams, Zoom, or other online platforms for meetings, programs and events; Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; decision-making skills to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to establish effective working relationships to successfully accomplish objectives. Expert in working independently and in a team environment. Strong proficiency in
using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and project management tools. Ability to learn and apply new software skills. Excellent customer service skills with proven knowledge of how to work effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external customers.
