Job Summary
Lead the development and execution of strategies and initiatives to build the Georgia Tech (GT) Athletics brand across sports programs, constituent groups, and digital channels. Serve as a key leader in driving creativity and ideation for GT Athletics. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: GT Athletics staff, external partners, and campus partners.This position typically will advise and counsel: GT Athletics staff, external partners, and campus partners.This position will supervise: assigned staff.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Provide strategic leadership across GT Athletics for Ideation, initiating the creative process and managing through development and actualization. Build and lead cross-functional project teams as needed.
Job Duty 2 -
Lead in building strategies for developing and promoting the GT Athletics brand, including digital media content creation and execution.
Job Duty 3 -
Lead in marketing strategies for all social network pages, including the development of fan interaction initiatives and marketing/ promotional opportunities to enhance brand awareness.
Job Duty 4 -
Serve as a primary liaison for CBS Interactive, ACC, Institute Communications and Georgia Tech Sports Properties (IMG) in website and brand matters. Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key internal and external constituents.
Job Duty 5 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
This position is critical to GT Athletics implementation and continued growth with the new Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) television network. This job will require work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including, but not limited to evenings, weekend, and holidays. Cooperate with the Athletics compliance office regarding NCAA rules and polices, including reporting requirements, and make a determined effort to ensure that staff and teams are in compliance.
Required Experience
Eight to ten years of job related experience
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree
SKILLS
This job requires skills in writing, editing and copywriting, as well as project and functional management. Working knowledge of production processes related to printed and electronic media is required as is use of office and specialized computer applications.
