Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Student Life Specialist I is responsible for the administration of one or more Student Life program(s). Serves as liaison between the program and other departments or the community. Position may supervise staff or students. Part of the Student Life Career Progression Plan.

Additional Department Summary: The primary goal of a Residential Life Area Coordinator is to assist in facilitating the operations of the area, consisting of isolation residential area for Housing and Residential Communities; including but not limited to serving as the point-of-contact for residence hall staff; in conjunction with Guest Services and Business Operations Coordinator, ensuring all protocols are adhered to, and following up with appropriate campus partners as needed.

Additionally, this position will serve on-call.

Responsible for completing required training that is related to laws and regulations, that creates a more hospitable and respectful workplace; and safer work environment.
Responsible for holding staff accountable for completion of required training.
Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience; or a Master's degree some experience. Must have one year experience working in a residence hall and some supervisory and customer service experience. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

This position will be required to live on campus. The incumbent must have the ability to work outside of normal work hours.

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
