Summary of Duties:

The Human Subjects Review Coordinator will serve as a primary regulatory resource and liaison for investigators and researchers to ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements. The position will provide administrative support by processing project submissions, expedited reviews, full board reviews, amendments, adverse events, protocol modifications, informed consent documents, or other related documentation.


This position will be responsible for effective communication and collaboration with peers, colleagues and external customers, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) members, researchers, coordinators, assistants and others to effectively contribute to the achievement of the organization’s goals, objectives, and desired outcomes.


This individual must perform all duties in a manner that promotes the WSU IRB
mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for the values and mission of the Institution.


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree AND two years applicable work experience; OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Research, Research compliance/Regulatory compliance, Academic administration, Ethics, Law.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience which demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience which demonstrates strong organization, planning skills, and ability to prioritize.

  • Experience with word processing software, such as Microsoft Word.
