Position Highlights:

The Department of French and Italian is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Adjunct Instructor in French. The expectation of this position is teaching at the undergraduate level. Candidates should be prepared to teach elementary and intermediate level French courses. This position will teach 2-4 courses beginning Aug 16, 2021 and is expected to last two semesters. FTE will be determined by course load. This position is not tenure track.
Your teaching load may make you become eligible for benefits if you work a .50FTE or greater for 90 days or longer. As courses and loads are determined, we will notify employees should they gain benefits eligibility status.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* The expectedteaching load will be based on the needs of the Department.

* The candidatemust be able and qualified to teach introductory and intermediate Frenchlanguage courses.

* Teach face to face and on-line depending on COVID-19 and safety precautions.

* Hold officehours.

* Attend meetingsand events as requested.

* Other duties asassigned

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must possess aMaster's Degree in French or related field

* Native ornear-native fluency in French and English.

* Experience in teaching French language courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in teaching at college-level.
Experience teaching on-line courses
