In recognition of the need for action to combat persisting inequities within higher education and tap into the power of transdisciplinary research and collaboration as the means for addressing the grand challenges that face the creative industries in the 21st century, the College of Arts & Media is implementing a national hiring strategy to attract diverse applicants.  This strategy aims to:

Nature of Work

The College of Arts & Media is looking to fill three Faculty Partner administrative roles to support the new CAM Living Learning Creating Community (LLCC) that is launching for the 2021 Academic Year. We are seeking one Faculty Partner from each of the three CAM departments. Faculty Partners will engage with the students in the LLCC; provide leadership and instruction to the RAs in the residence hall; and support the instructor of the First Year Experience (FYE) course with incorporating creative industries knowledge into the curriculum.  

Administrative role responsibilities   include, but are not limited to:

  • Monthly meetings with CAM Oversight Committee & Lead RA beginning in June 2021.
  • Meet with FYE instructors in June and as needed going forward to provide curriculum mentorship.
  • Guest presentation in an FYE class during the Fall semester.
  • Support a minimum of 2 events per semester in the residence hall.
  • Approximately 5 hours a month.

The total annual stipend for this administrative role is $2000; divided by the number of months in the appointment and paid evenly over each month of the appointment and is taxable income.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Must be a full-time faculty in the College of Arts & Media.
  • Minimum of 3 years, as faculty, in the College of Arts & Media.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring or advising students or faculty in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across all creative departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In depth knowledge of CU Denver & the College of Arts & Media.
  • Understanding of First Year Experience for Freshman.
  • Understanding of Residence Hall learning environment for first year students.
  • Ability to provide different mentorship needs to first year students as well as Residence Hall Assistants.
