    Effective May 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021, UTMC is offering a hiring bonus to recruit new talent to the hospital. New hires are eligible for a $3000 signing bonus for entry level Lab Sr. Techs and $6000 signing bonus for experienced Lab Sr. Techs after the completion of the 180-day probation period. 

    Position Description:

    Oversees day-to-day operations and monitors workload on third shift. Performs testing in all core laboratories, which include: coagulation, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, and specimen processing.


    Required Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    •  MT(ASCP) Certification or equivalent required.
    • Baccalaureate degree from accredited institutionrequired.
    •  Minimum 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
    •  Ability to effectively solve multiple problems, staffing issues, and troubleshooting preferred.
    •  Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with people required

    Working Conditions:May be exposed to infectious blood and body fluids. Precautions required. May be exposed to chemicals. May spend majority of day standing or walking around. May spend long hours on computer.
