  • Position Description:

    TheAssociate Director, Total Rewards provides leadership and oversight for theUniversity of Toledo's Total Rewards Team (which includes compensation,retirement, and leave administration).  This position is responsible forthe development of a compensation and classification programming includingpolicy and procedure development. This position will lead compensation analysis,market pricing, benchmark studies, and job description development.

    Responsibilitiesalso include the coordination, direction, and supervision of daily activitiesof Retirement plan administration including vendor coordination and leave of absencemanagement.

    Inaddition, the position ensures that assigned total reward programs meet alllegal requirements, works closely with internal/external customers to develop,and execute well defined short- and long-term strategies to attract, reward andretain top talent, and identify and participate in organizational re-designefforts to gain efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction levelsthroughout the university.



    -bachelor’s in business or related field required. MBA or MSA preferred.
    -Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources with compensation or benefitsexpertise.
    -Proficientwith analytical and statistical tools and PC programs, including MicrosoftOffice Suite.
    -Strongverbal and written presentation skills including the ability to communicatecomplex ideas in a simple
     way and to tailor key messages andpresentation style to multiple audiences.
    -Goaloriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in anever-changing environment.
