  • Position Description:

    The Hall Director is a full-time professional member of theOffice of Residence Life, responsible for
    providing leadership and direction to a comprehensivestudent development program and for the
    administrative operation of a residential community. The expectationis that this is accomplished through interactions with students and staff bothinside and outside of the office environment and initiatives in this area arevalued and celebrated. emphasis is placed on creating a community where thestudent experience is positive and staff provides excellent customer service.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree required prior to start date. A Master'sDegree in Higher Education, College
    Student Personnel, Counseling, or related field is preferred
    Supervisory experience.
    Commitment to social justice, community advocacy, andworking with students of diverse backgrounds.
    3-5 years of experience managing a residence hall isstrongly preferred. This is inclusive of any graduate level experience in aresidence hall.

    Working Conditions:Works in a professional office environment with possible high stress levels. Maintaining standard office hours Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 5:00pm is essential, with regularly required nights and weekends. Physical demands such as lifting, standing on feet for several hours, and carrying items including but not limited to tables, tents, banners, flyers, promotional items, etc. will be regularly required. Frequently lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs. Frequently traveling between buildings on campus. Works with high volume of students
