Duke Center for Girls and Women with ADHD

Project Coordinator

Occupational Summary

Coordinate and participate in the planning and management of project related tasks and assist center directors in completion of project activities. The Duke Center for Girls and Women with ADHD is a newly funded initiative focused on education and outreach for patients, families, providers, and the public about the unique needs of girls and women with ADHD across the lifespan. The focus of the center is on disseminating information to patients and the public about ADHD in females; connecting patients, families, providers, and educators with relevant resources; and fostering partnerships with community stakeholders. Research and data collection will also be conducted as part of the center.

Work Performed

Plan, implement, and coordinate systems designed to help center achieve short and long-term goals.

Help plan, develop, and manage a range of content (digital and printed) to support the program and drive engagement among key stakeholders.

Assist with social media planning and outreach to improve stakeholder engagement.

Develop and manage content for the Center’s website.

Maintain liaison with individuals involved in the center including center directors; project personnel; collaborators; and patients, families, and other professionals interested in the center to establish a communication system to coordinate the various aspects of the project. Assist in responding to inquiries about the project according to established policies and procedures. Maintain liaison with faculty members, educators, practicing professionals and representatives of related projects to coordinate the collection and dissemination of information related to the center.

Assist directors and other project personnel with community outreach and coordinate networking with other professionals.

Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and/or conclusions as requested.

Assist with time limited study regulatory processes including preparing of amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study under the supervision of center directors and Clinical Research Unit personnel.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training: Work requires communication and analytical skills normally acquired through a 4 year college education.

Experience: Work requires a general knowledge of research methods, procedures and activities normally acquired through 1 year of social science research experience.
