Description of Work:

The Nye lab is accepting applications for an undergraduate researcher to join our team this summer to understand the effects of climate change on marine fishes. Our current research is focused on how environmental variability and anthropogenic climate change affects fishes, populations, marine ecosystems and fisheries. The successful candidate will help collect fish, perform experiments on fish to determine temperature preferences and analyze data. The Nye lab strives to maintain an inclusive environment for all team members.

This position will be based at UNC Chapel Hill’s Institute of Marine Sciences, 3431 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a laboratory setting and in a team setting preferred.
