This position serves as the office manager for the Wolfpack One Card Office and delegates tasks to One Card Office staff as requested by the director. The Wolfpack One Card is the official ID card for NC State. They are responsible for day-to-day operations and success of the Wolfpack One Card Office. Under limited supervision, they perform specialized office and administrative duties for the office. Work is characterized by its technological program support and technical skills. Functions are performed at a level of moderate complexity, and many tasks have a confidential nature. Must exercise considerable tact and courtesy in dealing with the public.Other Responsibilities:
Model the division’s mission and values, introduce the division’s mission and values to employees, and foster a positive and cohesive workplace and congeniality among co-workers.
Understand the goals and culture of the organization, and understand how employees’ work activities, teamwork, and customer service impact clients. Work with your supervisor and colleagues to understand these goals and the culture.
Adhere to all University policies, procedures and regulations, and division standard operating practices.
Additional duties as assigned.Minimum Experience/Education:
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.Other Required Qualifications:
Skills in computer applications and software such as Card Systems Applications (CS Gold), Adobe, word processing and spreadsheet experience (Google or Microsoft), or similar software.
Ability to operate standard office equipment including printers, postage meters, computers, projectors, laminators, paper folders and photocopiers.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele and work in a dynamic and fast paced team environment.
Organizational skills and ability to multitask. High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong customer service skills, and demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations.
Demonstrated ability to resolve recurring problems.
Collaborate and build partnerships and collegiality with internal and external customers.
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to maintain body equilibrium when bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching and/or stretching arms, legs or other body parts, and to physically maneuver upon varying terrain, surfaces or physical structures, with or without reasonable accommodation.Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational courses in office management and/or computer sciences.
2-3 years of administrative or office support experience.
