Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct original research to study the role of genome instability in cancer stem cells. The successful candidate will be expected to publish research results in peer reviewed journals and present at national meetings.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. in cell or molecular biology, or other discipline related to the molecular biosciences; demonstrated expertise in working with cancer stem cells to study cancer initiation and progression; a publication record consistent with background; strong communication skills, both orally and written; research experience with tissue culture, transfection, RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9, molecular cloning, retrovirus and/lentivirus production, PCR, real-time PCR, RT-PCR, co-immunoprecipitation, western blotting, fluorescence microscopy.

The Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine is conveniently located at Maywood, IL, 16 mi west of downtown Chicago. It is close to western suburbs of Chicago that offer several nationally recognized school districts and excellent environment for raising families.

molecular biosciences; demonstrated expertise in working with cancer stem cells to study cancer initiation and progression; a publication record consistent with background; strong communication skills, both orally and written; research experience with tissue culture, transfection, RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9, molecular cloning, retrovirus and/lentivirus production, PCR, real-time PCR, RT-PCR, co-immunoprecipitation, western blotting, fluorescence microscopy.
