Director of Research - Institute of Business and Social Impact - Haas School of Business
The Institute of Business and Social Impact (IBSI) with the HAAS School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a Director of Research (Researcher - Title Code 3200) position, in the area of Economics.
The Institute for Business and Social Impact (IBSI) at the Haas School of Business was founded in November 2013 to train and empower leaders to address society's most pressing challenges. IBSI builds upon the School's unique and historic commitment to comprehensive excellence in research and public education to improve the world. Using the role of business to build and maintain a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive society, IBSI cultivates world-class courses, faculty research, experiential learning, and external partnerships.
Core to the Institute are eight well-established centers and programs:

Core functions of the Director of Research include:
Strategic Research Projects (50%). The Director of Research will engage in research projects of strategic importance to IBSI. S/he will:
Advance IBSIs Research and Capacity Building Agenda (40%). The Director of Research is responsible for articulating and advancing strategic research and capacity-building agenda for IBSI. S/he will:
Policy Engagement and Dissemination (10%). The Director of Research will liaise with policymakers, foundations, journalists, policy-makers, and program implementers to ensure that key research findings are effectively communicated and put into practice. S/he will:
Professional Researchers are exclusively represented by the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) local (5810).
