Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and over 50lbs; standing or walking with objects 10-25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); occasional exposure to loud noises, hazardous chemicals and fumes, and blood borne/airborne pathogens; occasional dealings with combative or violent people; and occasional (<10% of the time) job related travel.

Shift:

Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional evening per business needs.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Psychologist will assess patient(s) for autism, neurodevelopmental and other cognitive disorders including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behavior; working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses, social workers, psychiatrists and occupational therapists; devising and monitoring appropriate treatment programs, including therapy, counseling or advice, in collaboration with colleagues; offering therapy and treatments for difficulties relating to mental health issues/behaviors related to diagnosis including interpersonal problems and challenging behavior; providing consultation to other professions, and following evidence-base practice in ambulatory settings.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

The ideal candidate will be a licensed psychologist; have the ability to assess patient’s current mental capacity using a variety of methods resulting in optimal outcomes; have direct patient care experience; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office); strong planning and organizational skill; be detail oriented and have critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills; above average customer service skills; and active listening skills.
