20 hours a week worked within 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; some evening and weekends as needed.Job Summary:
The Fostering Success Job Coach (hereafter referred to as ‘Job Coach’) will work directly with young people participating in the Fostering Success Summer Employment Program. Job Coaches will utilize a structured employment curriculum to assist youth in developing job readiness skills. Job Coaches will meet with participants at least weekly (virtually) and provide ongoing support to program participants. Job Coaches will communicate with, and disseminate information to, participants via an online Learning Management System (LMS). Job Coaches will be required to attend an orientation to the program and will receive training related to the LMS.
Specific duties include:
• Develop effective job coaching and employment plans
• Communicate with participants to understand their goals and ambitions
• Assist participants in developing strategies to overcome employment related personal and professional barriers
• Assess participants strengths/areas for growth
• Guide clients in learning to complete employment related tasks
• Provide coaching in effective job search techniques
• Monitor and evaluate progress of program participants
• Keep records and documentation related to participant contacts
Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills; Interpersonal Skills; Team Oriented; Strong Problem Solving Skills; Previous professional experience working with young people, age 14 – 21, preferred. Some travel may be required.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
