Job Summary:

UK HealthCare Information Technology Services has posted the Field Service Technician III role. This role will be held accountable for establishing strong credibility & collaboration with our physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all I.T. staff members. This is a highly matrixed organization which requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, ability to lead and participate in large multi-disciplinary teams with significant amount of varied work assignments. The successful Field Service Technician III is responsible for Tier 2 and 3 end-user support; creating and documenting standards and processes; problem management; installing and configuring end-user devices including computers, mobile devices, printers, and telephones; device refresh and migration; training, coaching, and mentoring team members; and managing the incident queue. Additional responsibilities include; performance of service recoveries; adherence to the UK HealthCare Behavioral Expectations; and participation in the oversight and establishment of departmental goals, policies, and procedures.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10 MD100 and 101 within one year of hire date. The ideal candidate will have the following skills: critical thinking; strategic decision making; problem solving; excellent interpersonal and communication, both written and verbal; ability to develop staff which includes mentoring and coaching employees; teamwork; conflict resolution; project management methodologies and practice; performance management principles; and Microsoft Project and project server applications knowledge is preferred. In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to work successfully in a highly matrixed organization.

Preferred Education/Experience:

At least five years of previous experience in an academic healthcare environment that demonstrated leadership and exceptional performance in the development, implementation and direct oversight of industry and service management best practices. ITIL Foundation preferred.
