Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Electrician, 1st shift (Trades Specialist IV) in the Facilities Management Department.

Duties include, but are not limited to: maintain electrical systems throughout campus; perform repairs as required throughout campus; provide electrical work for renovation projects; promote and use best safety practices; provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large; and other job duties as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the electrical field. Must have electrical certificate, license, or equivalent job experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Experience in commercial and industrial wiring is preferred. Must have a working knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in maintenance and electrical trade, knowledge of safety practices prevalent to job duties, skills to make emergency and general repairs and/or adjustments to equipment. Must have the ability to comprehend blueprints, plans and specifications and the ability to communicate effectively.
