The Instructor-Limited Term (IP Fellow) position fills a critical mission for Augusta University. The limited term instructor provides administrative, clinical and academic responsibilities (fellow & student education) to the Pulmonary & Critical Care Division. The IP Fellow position rotates yearly and provides clinical, teaching and administration for the Pulmonary & Critical Care Division. The limited-term instructor will cover 2 weeks in MICU and 2 weeks on Pulmonary Consult Service.

The IP Fellowship/Limited Term Instructors are selected during their PGY7 year and/or after completion of Pulmonary Fellowship to provide leadership to fellows/interns for the following year. This individual is selected based on their exceptional clinical and leadership skills. This position will be replaced every year with a new IP Fellow to serve in this leadership role for Pulmonary and Critical Care IP Fellowship Program.

Inpatient Attending

    Inpatient attending: 2 weeks he/she will work with in the MICU on medicine inpatient wardsConsult Service-He/she will cover 2 weeks on Consult Service

Resident Education:

    Responsible for oversight/coordination of morning report, noon conferences, journal club, (medical knowledge self-assessment program), monthly simulation lab requirements and ultrasound labs.


    Oversee and facilitate monthly morbidity, mortality and improvement (present cases and oversee)Fellow quarterly meetingsComplete one45 evaluations during clinic rotations.
Minimum Requirements

MD degree

Completion of a 3 year Pulmonary Fellowship Program

Georgia License
