Job Summary/Description:

Angelo State University is seeking a dynamic and energetic computer science faculty member to join our team in the growing Department of Computer Science. Angelo State University is an Hispanic Serving Institution and member of the Texas Tech University System. The successful candidate will play a strong role in developing cybersecurity programs. This position is a full-time, nine-month Assistant Professor position and would start in Spring of 2022. Effective teaching, university service, and appropriate scholarship are required for tenure.

Typical Duties/Job Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach 24 semester credit hours of undergraduate and graduate computer science and cybersecurity courses each academic year,
- Take a lead role in cybersecurity program development and assessment activities,
- Engage in research activities and university service.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field,
- Record of or potential for teaching computer science courses,
- Record of or potential for scholarly research and publications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong preference will be given to candidates who have:

- Experience in or background to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity,
- Experience in or background to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and artificial intelligence,
- Record of research publications.
