Purpose of Job:

This position is located in the department of the Center for Information Technology Services, Mrs. Donna Hayden, Supervisor.

To provide assistance to the User Services unit.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Aiding the staff in filing, copying, answering the phone, and other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Job Functions :

•Educating students, faculty and staff about the various ITS services and resources available
•Communicating to the University community about ITS initiatives
•Assistance with helping faculty/staff and students configure wireless connectivity on their school owned and personal devices
•Organize IT supplies and equipment; assist in the maintenance of asset inventory records
•Performs other duties as assigned
•Learn to use CITS tools, password management tool and other tools as assigned
•Complete Customer Service course in Skillport Learning Portal
•Provide basic user training on how to use enterprise-wide applications and software tools through online training, printed documentation, and remote training sessions
•Assist students with registering their mobile devices to connect to ASU wireless network; understand Safe Connect/Clean Access policies and mobile device policies
•Assist CITS customers with password resets using self-service and CITS tools

Qualifications:

•Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cisco networking or other related disciple
•Strong communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•Familiarity with ITS tools and offerings a plus
•Organized with an ability to prioritize time sensitive assignments
•Creative and flexible
•Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours a week in at least 2 hour blocks during assigned shift
•Junior or greater

•Must be able to read, write and follow verbal communications.
•Must be dependable and able to work with minimum supervision
•Must have excellent interpersonal, customer relations, communication, and organizational skill
•Effective time management skills
•Computer skills
•Ability to complete projects by deadline
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products, e-mail, and internet
•Highly organized and detail oriented
•Successful experience working in a team environment
•Ability to manage multiple priorities, objectives, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
