Job Details

This is a full time (9-month), graduate level faculty position in the University's Masters Nursing program. The School of Nursing at Husson University seeks a qualified individual committed to delivering premier online professional programing that emphasizes experiential learning, student success, and inter-professional education. This is a Graduate Faculty position and requires qualifications and experiences consistent with the ability to educate graduate students in professional graduate degree programs. Responsibilities including teaching 24 credit hours per year at the graduate level (or the equivalent as determined by the Dean in collaboration with the Director), scholarship, service on University committees as needed, instructing students, and mentoring capstone projects. This position works closely with the Director to ensure the achievement of student learning outcomes, curriculum integrity, and assessment goals.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant will:

*Maintain currency and be knowledgeable in online course delivery/technology.
*Responsible for teaching specific courses as assigned in a professional manner with timely announcements, grading, and feedback on assignments/discussion boards.
*Responsible for assessment and evaluation of courses in appropriate discipline.
*Participate in assessment of program outcomes, development/design, and revision of curriculum offered.
*Monitor student progress and contribute to the university's commitment to student success.
*Participate in faculty governance as assigned.
*Maintain a robust scholarly agenda as defined by the Faculty Handbook.
*Follow the university's standards of conduct.
*Actively participate in virtual program, school meetings, and activities(e.g. Orientation(s), Convocation, and/or student recruitment projects), as well as service on committees within the University.
*Professionally represent Husson University Graduate Programs.
*Conduct scholarship at regional or national level resulting in publication in peer-reviewed professional journals, delivery of papers at professional association meetings, coordination and implementation of research programs, and/or professional practice.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

Earned doctorate in nursing or related field preferred; MSN in Advanced Practice Nursing (ie FNP, PMHNP, AG ACNP) required. Candidates nearing completion of a doctoral degree will be considered.

Licensure:

Active and unencumbered RN and MSN in Advance Practice Nursing(PMHNP) required.

Experience:

Minimum of three years of documented college/university-level teaching and minimum of three years of clinical experience expected. Must have documented expertise in area(s) of teaching responsibility.

Computer:

Good skills in LMS (ie Canvas, Googleapps, Microsoft Office, and other appropriate software and technology).

Remote/Online-performed primarily indoors.
Sitting, extensive use of keyboard-noise level is normally quiet.
Regular work hours with daily meetings
Be willing to travel to Bangor campus 1-2x per year for professional development as needed.
