Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for the overall management and fiscal oversight of the volunteer services, patient relations and the gift shop. The incumbent is responsible for the daily operations including staffing, human resources, budget and regulatory compliance. The incumbent is accountable for problem identification and resolution, process improvement, customer service, development of policies and procedures and staff competencies. Collaborates with marketing and business development to market services and develop new programs.

Required Qualifications:

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint)

Excellent service recovery process skills

Strategic planning skills to develop long and short range goals and objectives

Prior experience managing the finances of a small retail operation

Ability to successfully manage a retail operation to include planning, buying, merchandising, sales promotions, etc.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Demonstrated ability in budget preparation and management

Excellent supervisory, coaching, mentoring and teaching skills

Ability to guide, celebrate, and sustain the activities of volunteers through use of influence and leadership

Volunteer Services experience and ability to independently manage a Volunteer Program that is organizational wide

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Understanding of cultural, age, and ethnic diversity

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to prioritize customer needs
