Prospect Strategy Analyst IJob Description:
The Prospect Strategy Analyst serves as a key partner to colleges/units with regard to prospect strategy, research and analysis. The position ensures excellence in service to fundraisers in pipeline development and portfolio management, including training and communication. This position will collaborate closely with Data Services and Strategy & Operations teams on institution-wide strategic initiatives and to develop and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Portfolio ManagementAct as a strategic partner for approximately 1-15 development officers of assigned colleges/units in prospect strategy development and documentation.Review contact reports of each development officer in assigned colleges/units for updates to prospect plans and strategies.Identify creative, strategic methods to help development officers engage prospects.Recommend prospect assignments and quality prospect pools to development officers.Meet regularly with assigned DOs to fully comprehend and gain thorough knowledge and understanding of assigned campaign priorities, DO portfolios and short/long term prospect goals. Conduct quarterly Gator Portfolio Support (GPS) meetings with all assigned DOs to facilitate strategic conversations regarding the management of prospects, pipeline development and portfolio strength.Provide key support and insight in the maintenance of viable portfolios via portfolio review sessions (including meeting preparation and follow up); provide ongoing analysis and analytics of portfolios, moves and stages.Make updates in Advance related to development officer portfolio and relationship manager assignments.
- Provide professional prospect development, research and information services in support of the fundraising goals and objectives of UF Advancement.
- Identify, qualify, rate and assign major gift prospects to DOs in support of fundraising goals and objectives.
- Prepare thorough, accurate and timely profiles on UF alumni, friends, parents, corporations and foundations as needed to support fundraising initiatives.
- Use a variety of analytical techniques to resolve or provide information regarding complex research and data problems.
- Provide corporate/foundation research as needed.
Special ProjectsAttend and participate in meetings, workgroups, committees and other internal responsibilities.Execute special campaign projects as identified by leadership, which may include leading a workgroup, conducting targeted research and analysis, partnering with units and internal groups, and developing and executing recommendations.Special Assignments:Work on assigned special projects (e.g. student interns, internal training, external training, etc.), as assigned by the Associate Director of PSR.In this capacity you will be responsible for all planning, tracking and communication regarding assigned project.Specific metrics for the special project will be assigned during the annual performance appraisal and planning process.
Tools, Training & CommunicationDrive a consistent approach to research and prospect management across units through regular communication with unit leadership and staff, ongoing training, and alignment with campaign priorities.Provide consultative services and orientation sessions. Contribute to evaluation of research tools and department policies and procedures.Provide training and database support to DOs on research resources and policies.Assess unit training needs and develop individualized training plans, including onsite training.Recognize when issues, activities, and/or decisions need to be elevated to management, and communicate information effectively to others.Work under guidelines governed by unit procedures, processes, and manuals.Expected Salary:
Salary commensurate with education and experience.Minimum Requirements:
