Job Description:

1. The primary focus will be to contribute to studies while also assisting in the lab as needed for our daily research operations. The technician will be responsible for preparing and purifying plasmid DNAs from bacteria, and performing DNA transfections of cell cultures, analyzing samples from various cell lines by performing immunoblot assays and quantification of gene expression levels, microscopy imaging.

2. Training will be provided on site. The ability of maintaining detailed correct records of experiments is essential in this position. Additional duties include calculating and preparing stock solutions, performing routine lab procedures, maintaining laboratory stocks, organizing supplies, basic laboratory maintenance, ensuring laboratory equipment is in good conditions as needed.

3.The person in this position is expected to work between 20 to 40 hours per week.

Expected Salary:

$14-14.50 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biotechnology or a similar relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic laboratory skills are preferred.
