Job Summary/Basic Function:

Job Summary:The Coordinator, Campus Operations reports to the Executive Director, Campus Operations and supports the functional groups that constitute the Campus Operations department.

The incumbent will work closely with departmental co-workers in accomplishing a variety of tasks.

As a member of the Campus Operations office, the incumbent may be assigned various duties consistent with those of a Campus Operations Generalist to support routine operations of the office.

The coordinator will provide support in the creation, production, and distribution of documents such as guidelines, policies, procedures, reports, handbooks, manuals, reference guides, and training materials related to camps operations.

The Coordinator will ensure compliance with established guidelines and policy, as well as applicable federal and state laws.

Essential Job Functions:
The Coordinator, Campus Operations will proactively address the following opportunities and goals:

•Collaborative partner. The Coordinator will build and foster relationships and creativity across organizations and departments.
•Serve as a Campus Operations Generalist. The Coordinator will fulfill various roles consistent with those of a Campus Operations Generalist to ensure continuity of operations within the office. This will include cross-training and serving as the back-up for many Campus Operations functions, including Contracts, Freedom of Information Requests, Real Estate Procurement, Parking Services, Distribution Services, Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Health and Safety, or any other assigned functions.
•Align with Lamar’s mission. The Coordinator will strive to align with the University’s mission and goals working collaboratively with all colleges, divisions, and departments.

Other Duties Assigned:
Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to needs of the university.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education Required:A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university strongly desired; or equivalent work-related experience will be accepted.

Minimum Experience Required:A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in one or more functional areas.

Physical Requirements:
•Ability to work in a typical administrative office environment to include long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

Job Conditions:Typical schedule is M-F 8am-5pm, with some occasional after-hours work. This position supports essential functions of Campus Operations and may occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
