Job Description

Serve as a Lead teacher in a university-based early childhood program. Lead teachers are primarily responsible for mentoring student teachers, supervising co-teachers, and coordinating classroom activities, in addition to caring for and educating preschool children. The Child Development Teacher is expected to collaborate with the teaching team, other faculty, and practicum students to plan and execute a program that is developmentally sound, multi-culturally relevant, and sensitive to the range of individual differences reflected in our student, staff, and family populations.


Salary:$38,000- $40,000 annually

Grade: GGS-008

Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in early childhood education, child development or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or related field.
