Summary

Support University Stores by designing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting static and dynamic web sites with an emphasis on web design, photography, web development, and online marketing for e-commerce sites which generate $3.5 million in sales yearly. Primary responsibility is focused on managing ecommerce for multiple campus bookstores, retail stores, and e-commerce web sites which serve state, national, and international customers; and directs customers to main and subsidiary campus and retail store locations which include University Stores locations on the Rolla, UMKC, and UMSL campuses and The Mizzou Store. Implement and maintain other websites as requested.

Essential Functions

Develop, improve, modify and maintain multiple static and dynamic web sites including coding, editing, updating and quality control of test and production site environments. Maintain UM Campus Retail Internet presence.

Create web and other digital marketing materials. Create sample layouts based on creative direction from customers to provide innovative, visually appealing, user-friendly designs that encourage the use of sites for information and e-commerce.

Develop, implement and maintain analytics to inform electronic marketing decisions and campaigns – including web, e-mail, social networks and other tactics.

Support the marketing department with high-quality creative solutions for web and other electronic formats, such as landing pages, mobile devices, etc. In addition, provide support for all electronic messaging by reviewing artwork, subject lines and overall message.

Create and maintain search engine optimization (SEO) processes, including keyword bank, product naming and web text standards documentation, site map development and usage of web master tools.

Develop and maintain a reporting structure for analytics of sales, external advertising and site traffic for use in recommendations, planning and management reports.

Interact with internal customers who are the subject matter experts for the web sites. Contribute to additional innovative efforts to improve quality of communication in electronic formats.

Organize and maintain project schedules to complete all work within the requested deadlines. Provide regular reports to manager and / or requestor regarding project status.

Work directly with the Order Fulfillment team to assist with filling customer orders and assisting Order Fulfillment customers during peak times.

Salary

Salary: $19.47 - $35.48 per hour

Grade: GGS-009

University Title: Business Operations Associate

Shift

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, marketing, or related field.

Two years’ experience in:

  • Creating dynamic, accessible, pixel-perfect Web sites from scratch
  • Creating and designing Web graphics in Photoshop or similar software
  • Creating and analyzing Web site metrics
  • Combination of education or experience in related field
  • Combination of education or experience programming HTML, Javascript, and CSS

Prior experience with aspdotnetstorefront or other ecommerce platform preferred
