Minimum Qualifications:

Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with proctoring exams, experience in a higher education setting, experience with confidential materials.

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant reports to the Coordinator of Testing services. This position provides professional and courteous testing services to students and customers. This position proctors tests, assists with group placement testing, and monitors test security for both pencil/paper and computer exams in small and large group settings. This includes assisting with phone calls, assisting and checking in customers, and scheduling appointments. The position is also cross-trained in UTS’s Prometric Center and the Disability Resource Center’s Accommodated Testing Office. This position’s schedule is typically 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, but will often flex to cover Saturday testing.

Understand and follow specific oral and written instructions. Speak and give clear instructions to individuals as well as large groups of people. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proven experience working well with diverse customers. Basic computer skills and learning new technology. Handle sensitive customer issues and maintain confidentiality. Attention to detail and organization. Multitasking. Working effectively as a team member.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Administering tests: Secures tests and passwords; checks in and seats students; distributes testing materials; launches exams on computer; monitors the testing room on camera and walks around testing room; ensures prohibited items are placed in lockers and not accessed during test.
