Primary Purpose of the Position
The Building Environmental Services Supervisor- Assistant Manager reports to the Building Environmental Services Manager and assists with day-to-day management of housekeeping department operations. Activities include but are not limited to monitoring building conditions and staff productivity, ensuring housekeeping staff are working safely, efficiently and following safety procedures. This position will provide housekeeping skills and individual developmental training to staff. The BESS-Assistant Manager may work with other units within facilities management, and various campus stakeholders to ensure proper Facilities Management support. This position requires sound housekeeping technical knowledge, solid leadership skills, and the ability to ensure all functions and goals of the
housekeeping operations are met.
Graduation from High School or possession of a GED, and one year of experience in the area assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Preferred Qualifications::
10 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a university environment.
3 years advanced experience in maintenance or operation of custodial equipment
Certified Educational Facilities Professional credential (CEFP) or ISSA certificationClosing Date::
