Job Description:

The Manuscript and Rare Books Department of Special Collections is seeking service-oriented applicants to fill the position of Manuscripts Project Assistant.

Duties include but are not limited to:

-Assisting with the processing of manuscript
material(filing, organizing documents, and
labeling folders and boxes).
-Data entry using spreadsheet templates
-Shelving, shifting, and maintaining
manuscript box material
-Other tasks as assigned. This may include photocopying, scanning, and recycling.

Candidates must be service-oriented, able to work with a minimum of supervision and be able to pay close attention to detail.

They should also be able to communicate clearly and be able to lift 40 pounds.

An interest in history would be helpful but is not required.

Those with allergies to dust or mold need not apply.

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.):

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
