Advertised Job Summary:

To serve as a Post-Doctoral Fellow under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) conducting research on projects as a result of funding provided by NIH grants. Research will be aimed at assessing the epigenomic, genomic and transcriptomic effects, and/or microbiome following environment pollutant and dietary supplement exposure on inflammation and cancer. Research also involves COVID-19 and PTSD patients. Advises principal investigators, students, and other laboratory personnel on current methods, ongoing experiments, and future research directions. Maintains accurate and detailed records of laboratory experiments and presents these in informal laboratory discussions, group meetings, formal symposia and publications. Assists in training other individuals including students in the laboratory. To demonstrate commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Requires a Ph.D. in any biomedical sciences including Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or other related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred expertise in Immunology.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledgeable of hazards of laboratory activities and related safety practices, skilled in setting up, care and use of laboratory equipment. The ability to develop and assist with development of new and improved methodology. Required to conduct research activities lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
