- Build and maintain partnerships with VCs and industry partners who manage sponsored research/technology collaboration programs in existing companies. Attend networking events and tradeshows to represent OTL, market Stanford technologies, and cultivate relationships.Work with Stanford inventors and the teams to develop, manage and execute strategic marketing plans/programs to meet business objectives.Create and manage the execution of integrated marketing communication strategy, which leverages the brand strategy, incorporating appropriate channels (i.e., web, print, email, social media, and events).Define and conduct market research to evaluate invention portfolio, including competitive intelligence analysis, identification of partnering opportunities, and launch of marketing campaigns/programs/events. Respond to and engage partnering interests from industry and provide marketing feedback to help the Licensing teams to make strategic patent filling and licensing decisions.Communicate marketing plans across the organization and/or university to educate and influence stakeholders.Help organize office outreach and networking events to support marketing objectives.May oversee interns and other contingent staff; provide staff training.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders and experience presenting to senior management.Extensive knowledge of strategic analysis, customer segmentation strategies and business and marketing planning.Demonstrated experience in integrated marketing strategy and execution across marketing channels including digital and print Demonstrated application of market research and data analysis.Excellent project manager with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent written and oral communication and engaging presentation skills.Highly organized, detail oriented, and deadline-driven work approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and 8 years of relevant experience in academic Technology Transfer or combination of education and industry BD and/or Marketing experience. Advanced degree preferred.
