- The Stipend Assistant Football Coach must be committed to the Lordship of Christ. This not only means having the correct intellectual belief, but it involves a radical transformation in every area of one’s lifestyle. The Coach must continually seek opportunities to grow and possess strong character traits through the regular practicing of the spiritual disciplines (e.g. prayer, meditation, Bible reading) and develop ministry values that express what God can do in impacting student athletes with whom they interact.
- The Coach’s ministry strategy is to serve student athletes and the entire campus by creating a spiritually rich environment supporting community development, quality programs and exciting innovative initiatives.
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate teaching competence and integration of personal faith and the truths of Christianity with instruction in the classroom and on the field.
This position reports to the Head Football Coach and the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Duties may include, but are not limited to, coaching and serving as an assistant to the Offensive or Defensive Coordinator. Other duties include recruiting qualified student athletes, use of recruiting software, camp operations, scouting, film breakdown, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, along with any other duties assigned by the Athletic Department.
Minimum of two years coaching football at the collegiate level required.
Required Skills:1. Bachelor’s degree required2. Ability to manage multiple tasks3. Written and oral communication skills4. Knowledge of computer applications for recruiting and video exchange and breakdown5.Organizational skills6. Ability to work weekends & evenings and also to travel
