Position Description:
As a member of the Application Services team, the Application Developer, Front End designs, develops, tests, and integrates moderate to complex application solutions focusing primarily on Business and Faculty applications. The Front End Developer will work closely with user experience designer, business analysts, and back-end developers to create seamless and elegant front-end experience for a diverse user base. The Front End Developer will develop and maintain moderately complex graphical user interfaces and will be responsible for standardizing the UI approach (structure, process, standards, methodologies); applies accessibility UI standards to ensure compliance and responsive design. Additional responsibilities include preparation of technical documentation, participation in full life-cycle development activities including moderately complex technical design, programming, unit and integration test planning and execution.

Additionally, the Front End Developer participates in research of emerging technologies and industry practices; makes recommendations for enterprise information management best practices and technologies for adoption, provides input to continual improvement activities for assigned projects. Collaborates with product owner to prioritize development activities and project plans; validates new features and concepts with users through prototypes, focus groups, and analysis of actual product usage patterns. Provides after-hours support as needed or assigned.
